"Hollywood Smile" is the most marketed dental tourism package in Turkey. Every clinic offers one. Instagram is full of the results. The promise is a complete smile transformation β bright, even, perfect teeth β in under a week. And for many patients, that's exactly what they get. For others, it's the beginning of years of problems.
The term "Hollywood Smile" has no clinical definition. It's a marketing label that can mean anything from 8 veneers on front teeth to 28 crowns on every visible tooth. What you're actually getting depends entirely on the treatment plan β and that's where the problems start.
Most Turkish clinics define a Hollywood Smile as 20 porcelain or zirconia veneers/crowns covering all visible teeth, upper and lower. Some include teeth whitening on remaining teeth. Some include temporary veneers during the prep-to-fitting gap. Many don't. The variation in what's included β and what's extra β is enormous.
When the product is defined by marketing rather than clinical assessment, the treatment plan starts from "20 veneers" and works backwards β rather than starting from "what does this patient's mouth actually need?" That's how patients end up with 20 veneers when the clinic never documented whether fewer veneers combined with other treatments were even considered. The plan should start from your dental situation β not from a package number.
β Ask this question: "If I weren't getting a Hollywood Smile package, how many of my teeth would actually need veneers?" If the dentist can't give you a clinical answer separate from the package, that tells you the plan is driven by the marketing β not by your dental health.
